內容簡介
湯顯祖（一五五一六一六），是明代著名戲曲作家，字義仍，號海若，又號若士，別署清遠道人，江西臨川人。曾任南京太常博士、禮部主事，因上疏抨擊時政，被貶為廣東徐聞典史，後遷為浙江途昌知縣。
湯顯祖的戲曲作品流傳下來的有《紫釵記》《還魂記》郎《牡丹亭》、《南柯記》、《邯鄲記》，合稱《臨川四夢》或《玉茗堂四夢》信其中以《牡丹亭》的成就，作品揭露了封建禮教的冷酷虛偽，表現了要求個性解放的思想，在藝術上富有濃厚的浪漫主義色彩。
