朱季海先生的論文集，其中包括古代典籍整理、學林往事、語言文字之學、古代文史考證、歷史地理與蘇州史地、書畫理論及詩稿七個部分。朱季海先生，名學浩，以字行，一九一六年生，上海浦東三林塘人。幼承家學，熟習國故。方以弱冠，問學於余杭章太炎先生，參加「國學講習班」。后侍章氏起居，有「千里駒」之譽。章氏逝世，整理先師遺着，教學於「太炎文學院」，並任《制言》半月刊主筆。抗戰勝利后，入南京國史館，旋辭去。新中國成立后，偶兼教職；「文革」起，隱而不出。
