《尼各馬可倫理學》（《倫理學》），13世紀被譯成拉丁文後遂傳遍西歐。全書共10卷，132章，探討了道德行為發展的各個環節和道德關係的各種規定等問題。該書是西方歷史上第一部倫理學專著，書中系統闡述了德性在於合乎理性的活動，至善就是幸福等觀點，成為西方近現代倫理學思想的主要淵源之一。

亞里斯多德（Aristotle西元前384～前322），古代先哲，古希臘人，世界古代史上偉大的哲學家、科學家和教育家之一，堪稱希臘哲學的集大成者。他是柏拉圖的學生，亞歷山大的老師。
