蔣維喬在光華大學教授中國哲學史時的講義。上自顧炎武，下及王國維，歷述清初以至民國初年近三百年哲學思想之變遷，將近三百年哲學史划分為復演古代學術時期和吸收外來思想時期，並於每一時期之中又詳列各派和各家的學說著述以作比較。蔣維喬（1873-1958），著名教育家、哲學家、佛學家、養生家。字竹庄，自號因是子。江蘇武進（今常州）人。著有《中國近三百年哲學史》、《呂氏春秋匯要》，以及與楊大膺合著的《中國哲學史綱要》、《宋明理學綱要》等；在佛學方面的著作，則有《中國佛教史》、《佛學概論》、《佛教淺測》、《佛學綱要》、《大乘廣五蘊論注》等。其中以《中國佛教史》在社會上流傳最廣。
